Butterflies In Your Garden – If you want Butterflies in your garden you need to supply not only flowers for nectar but special host plants for the butterfly to lay its eggs on.
As butterflies are “host specific” you need to know which butterflies lay their eggs on which plant, so come along to hear

The “Butterfly Host Plants” owner Jo Hammond will be bringing along a selection of he butterfly host plants for sale so don’t miss this very interesting talk about encouraging butterflies to call in at your place and maybe hang around for a little while.
You can see, whilst you are there, our “Blooms for Bees and Butterflies” at our garden planted early September in time for official opening of the community garden which took place recently on Saturday 11th October.
In this special garden we have 9 different host plants for different butterflies.
Already the Monarch Butterfly has found our Milkweed and I have found 7 eggs which have hatched into 7 caterpillars and are growing very well.
